| Moved With Compassion's Mission Statement It is our mission to fulfill the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Church (Matthew 28:19, 20 and Mark 16:15), focusing on the specific tasks for which God has equipped us through the years. These areas of ministry are what we have set out to accomplish. This mission is threefold and is visible in Acts 14:21-23. The Preaching of the Gospel The preaching of the Gospel is first and foremost. We endeavor to preach Jesus to everyone we meet. The story of Jesus is the most valuable possession we have and we must freely give it out to all who will listen. This goal leads us to areas where the word has not been preached. Our global mission?s vision is subsequent to this mission. The Planting of Churches After people come to know the Lord Jesus in a personal way we need to provide a home for them. The planting of churches is our second most important focus. The local expression of the universal church of Jesus Christ here on earth is a major part of all that we do. Establishing strong and vibrant family groups of believers is God?s plan for this world. We travel the world in response to the call of God to plant these churches. The Training of Ministers The third focus of our ministry, and perhaps the most time consuming, is the transforming of the believers into ministers of the Lord Jesus. The Lord has given us extensive series of ministry training materials over the years. I use these teachings to prepare God?s people for their own commissions in the future. I believe that strong and well prepared leaders will be able to stand up under the pressure of persecution, responding to every obstacle with God?s wisdom and patience. Part of this training is directed to the next generation of missionaries. The many years of experience that we have gained on the fields of the world give us a unique perspective of the requisite skills of a successful missionary. We pass these skills onto new missionaries so that they can fulfill the same great commission that we have obeyed. |
