Ben Fisher has been working as a missionary with Moved
With Compassion over the years and is now serving in
Indonesia. He heads up a bible school on the island of
Batam. God is using him to train the next line of leaders to
reach the lost of Indonesia.
Ben is constantly
preaching in different
churches in Indonesia as
the Lord opens doors for
him.
Ben was ordained into the Gospel
ministry at the River Church in
Louisiana.
We must pray for Ben and his ministry
to flourish and be empowered by the
Holy Spirit. Pray for the Lord to protect
him.
News from Ben
Bible School
  Things are going very well with the
new school. We started on Tuesday
Jan 18th and I was very excited to
have 13 students in the orientation.
We have a great building which can
seat up to 45 students and we are
looking forward to growing into it. I am
privileged to be working with teachers
from Java and the United States,
students from Singapore, Ambon, and
Nias. We have all caught the vision of
the school are eager to take part in
training the future leaders of
Indonesia. We are going to take the
students through 1 year of intense
Bible training and prepare them to
plant churches and be leaders. Many
of the students are coming to live in
the dorm rooms so they can dedicate
all of their time to studying the Word of
God. We have a men’s dorm and a
women’s dorm that are located directly
over the bible school. There are 6
students that live in the dorms right
now where they are able to spend all
of their time preparing for their new live
in Christ and His ministry.
Christmas Services
  This Christmas was such a blessing
for me because God presented me
with many great opportunities. I was
given the privilege to preach at several
different Christmas services in a few
different churches.  In this time I was
able to make friends with many
different people and relationships are
growing stronger and stronger.
Culture
  I have a local pastor living with me for a time so I have been learning a lot about the culture in
Indonesia. I have been working hard on the language and though it has been a hard road it is
coming along well. Though there are many differences in culture through time I will be able to learn
more and more.
